Former child star Raven Symone finally speaks up about the Bill Cosby rape scandal. The 28-year old actress had worked with the 77-year old comedian in "The Cosby Show". She portrayed the role of Olivia, the step-granddaughter of the lead actor between 1989 and 1992.
Raven denied the rumors that she was sexually assaulted by her co-star during her stint in the comedy series. She posted a photo of her character Olivia on Facebook and wrote: "I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!"
The actress did a great job of clearing out her name, but that does not mean that the Bill Cosby rape scandal isn't true. Back in the 1980s, 13 women filed a lawsuit against the actor for allegedly sexually assaulting them. However, the case was settled out of court and the claims were denied according to Mirror.
After more than two decades, the comedian is again facing accusations that occurred years ago. His lawyer told TMZ, "Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true."
The lawyer explained, "Mr Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment. He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work."
A 57-year old registered nurse recently surfaced claiming that the star of "The Cosby Show" sexually assaulted her when she was just 19 years old. New York Times reported that Therese Serignese was one of the 13 women who Bill Cosby allegedly raped. She revealed during an interview that the comedian offered her three pills which she took because she felt that she couldn't say no to the famous actor. After he drugged her, he sexually assaulted her.
Do you think the Bill Cosby rape scandal is true or these women just wanted to get his money?
