Carrie Underwood baby news revealed the gender of the pregnant "Something In The Water" singer's first child.
According to a report from Daily Mail, the former "American Idol" champion shared to ABC News Radio the story of how she and her NFL player husband Mike Fisher discovered that they were going to have a baby boy.
The couple supposedly did not want to know the baby's gender while at an ultrasound clinic, which they consider as "kind of a sterile place".
Carrie Underwood narrated the baby gender story: "We got to see all the pictures and everything. It was really cool to see that, but whenever she'd get near, near those parts we would look away."
What the couple did was have the doctor write Carrie Underwood's baby's gender on a piece of paper, which was sealed in an envelope.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher then went out to have dinner and opened it together.
"Just the two of us in a nicer setting, but we both knew," the country star said.
"It was just confirming our suspicions. We didn't really speak of it before, 'cause we were both just like, "Whatever. It's all good." But we knew it was a boy." Carrie Underwood said about her baby's gender.
Earlier Carrie Underwood pregnant news reveal the due date of the Grammy-winning singer. A report from CBS Local revealed that she's "due in Spring," which means the baby will arrive around April.
CBS Local also reported how the soon-to-be first-time parents are "overwhelmed" with the pregnancy.
The former "American Idol" winner narrated: "We went to Babies R Us and we were walking around and I was, like, 'This is just so overwhelming!"
"I have a wonderful mother so if I can be even a little bit like that, I think that we'll be good," Carrie Underwood said.
