"The Matrix" star Keanu Reeves has turned 50 last September 2, and this age looks like the reboot of his acting career after new movie offer, whether mainstream or not, continues to pour.

Reeves, after the successful action movie "John Wick", might star in a new movie, wherein his character has to save the world. Tarsem Singh is in talks with the actor to take the male lead role in the sci-fi-thriller movie, "The Panopticon".

"The Panopticon" is about a man "who receives a mysterious package containing a pre-recorded message from himself, warning that the world is about to end and only he can save it. He must race against the clock to piece together the puzzle before time runs out for mankind," as cited on The Wrap.

Singh is the filmmaker behind the movies, "The Cell", "The Fall", "The Immortals", and "Mirror Mirror". If you could still remember the music video of "Losing My Religion", he was also the one made it possible.

Keanu Reeves' new movie, in case he comes on board, will work with Singh to helm Craig Rosenberg's script. Andrew Lazar will produce the film, while Craig Rosenberg and Joe Drake will executive produce "The Panopticon" and will handle the international sales.

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves has wrapped up his upcoming movies "The Whole Truth" with Renée Zellweger and "Knock Knock" with Cuban actress Ana de Armas. He is also busy with another movie, "Daughter of God" with De Armas.

The 50-year-old actor was also rumored to be cast in a titular role "Doctor Strange" of Marvel. He said in an interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub when asked about being rumored to play the role, "But I don't know the character Doctor Strange; I need to go brush up. So I don't know. It hasn't been brought to me."

He even asked Weintraub if, "Would I be good for the role?"
