"Frozen 2" could be one of the most highly anticipated sequels in the history of animation.
After the global success of "Frozen," fans are screaming for more. Will Disney give in to their plea?
According to new reports, it seems that the sequel might far from reality as of writing. Disney has hit the jackpot with "Frozen," and they're definitely making sure to get the sequel right or it will ruin the impact the first movie has made.
In an interview published on Hallels, Disney's Bob Iger mentioned that "In order to make the perfect movie sequel, the filmmakers have to write the perfect follow-up story for it. Otherwise, 'Frozen' won't be as good anymore and that would surely disappoint everyone."
But to cheer-up fans who've been clamoring for "Frozen 2", a short movie has been confirmed! Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf are set to continue their journey in a new flick out 2015.
"Frozen Fever" will be released next spring, and will have directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck on board again. "Let It Go" composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will reportedly write a new song (another hit perhaps) for the new film.
The new movie will feature a very simple plot involving Anna's birthday. Elsa and Kristoff will be in charge of the whole planning, but the ice queen's powers could cause some troubles.
Meanwhile Hallels reported that Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will reprise their roles in the planned short.
Producer John Lasseter said, "We are bringing back the characters from Frozen. We are doing a short. It will have a new song. Basically, the whole crew is returning. It is absolutely hilarious."
