Nicki Minaj made quite an appearance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night in the midst of the release of her upcoming new album.

It seems like fans of the rapper should keep their hopes high as usual for Nicki MInaj's new album "The Pinkprint," which will be available on December 15, according to Design & Trend.

"I'm so excited. I'm so proud of it," stated Minaj during a red carpet interview with E! News.

The "Super Bass" singer continued "It really shows a lot of growth. I know that my fans are really going to appreciate the subject matter on a lot of songs."

Nicki Minaj fans really need to appreciate the tracks on the rapper's new album as rumors have reportedly been circulating that the Queens native wants to take a break from recording music.

"I said [I would be taking a break] after the fifth album. I'm only about to put out the third album so that's a long time from now. Thank goodness," stated Minaj.

Could Nicki Minaj be preparing for motherhood in the future after she releases her fifth album? The "Flawless" rapper did hint during an interview with Complex magazine that she had plans to be a mother and a wife.

"I wonder if I'm going to be one of those women who balances my child with a career. I always said, 'When I have my baby, it's going to be all about my baby,'" explained Minaj.

She added, "I don't want the child feeling like they don't have all of my attention, so I always said, 'I'm going to take a little break.' But we'll see."
