Manny Pacquiao news reveals "Pacman's" claims saying he "took pity" on Chris Algieri during their fight on Saturday night in Macau, China. The eight-division world champ, however, affirmed that he did go all out on his opponent.

Pacquiao's victory over Algieri was a resounding one, with all three judges having him winning by a wide margin. However, "Pacman" admitted to taking pity on Algieri, a situation he had been in during his past fights.

"I took pity on him," Pacquiao said in a report by Philstar.com. "He is still inexperienced yet he was already thrown to the pit. Though he has potential, he fought a veteran fighter. He still lacks experience. We're too far in terms of level."

Manny Pacquiao news also reveals the disparity in every aspect of the fight that took place. "Pacman" was ahead in all of the major numbers in the cards, in terms of both total punches landed and power punches landed. The six knockdowns Pacquiao scored over Algieri is the living testament of the work rate that the Filipino boxing superstar displayed on fight night.

Pacquiao and his having too much compassion towards his opponents is not a new issue. In 2010, when he faced former super welterweight champion Antonio Margarito, Pacquiao was seen motioning to the referee to take a look at Margarito, given the 12 rounds of beating that was already given to him.

In the end, "Pacman" was awarded with the unanimous decision verdict, and his eighth world title that night.

Manny Pacquiao news also reveals that for the Algieri fight, Pacquiao affirms that he gave it his 100% but he acknowledged he was up against a tough opponent.

"I gave it my all, my killer instinct was there," Pacquiao said. "But he's really tough. He didn't want to get knocked out. He impressed me because he held on even though he was inexperienced. He tried his best."
