"Game of Thrones" cast Natalie Dormer threw her support behind Jennifer Lawrence as she lashed out at the "horrific" nude photo leak involving the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" star and other celebrities.
Speaking to the December and January double issue of Nylon magazine, as shared by E! News, the 32-year-old actress said that Jennifer Lawrence has been through so much after "The Fappening" nude photo leak.
"And I don't think there's any level of fame that can justify that kind of invasion into privacy, not to mention laws being broken. I mean, people just need to get a grip if they think that's even halfway acceptable," Natalie Dormer said.
"Game of Thrones" cast Natalie Dormer plays Cressida, the District rebellion documentarian, in "TheHunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1." She's also no stranger to stripping before the camera thanks to her character Margaery Tyrell in the HBO hit series based on George R. R. Martin novels, as well as the "Tudors."
Jennifer Lawrence in a previous article on Vanity Fair described the nude photo leak as disgusting.
"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world," Chris Martin's girlfriend said.
"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That's why these Web sites are responsible. Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside," she added.
Meanwhile, Natalie Dormer also weighed in on her "Game of Thrones" character: "I wish I had Margaery's knack for opportunistically manipulating a situation on the spot, but I don't. I suppose that I'm a bit of a tomboy, and I probably say things out loud that I shouldn't. I'm quite a straightforward person, not underhanded like my character."
