Fans got treated to a vintage Kobe Bryant performance when he recorded a triple-double as the Toronto Raptors visited Staples Center on Sunday. The Los Angeles star player also reached a personal milestone during the game.

And as LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant spoke with reporters after the win, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to needle his critics.

"Kobe Bryant on getting 30,000 points & 6,000 assists: 'It's a huge honor. It means I pass more than people say,'" tweeted by Lakers reporter Mark Medina.

According to NBA.com, Los Angeles star player Kobe Bryant is the only player in history to post 30,000 points along with 6,000 assists.

"Bryant, who has racked up 32,153 points and 6,003 assists in his career, has blended scoring and passing as successfully as few others have," it said. "Of the top 20 scorers in NBA history, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 5,660 career assists are the closest to Bryant's total - and they still fall 343 short."

The next for the Black Mamba is to pass Michael Jordan for the third in the scoring list.

"Kobe averaged a league-best 26.4 points per game heading into the matchup with the Raptors on Sunday," said Lakers Nation. "Bryant was sitting at 32,122 career points before taking on Toronto which puts him 170 points behind Jordan's total of 32,292."

On Sunday, a vintage Kobe Bryant racked up a triple double by scoring 31 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, becoming the oldest player to do so. The Los Angeles star player also recorded the 20th triple-double of his career.

And the passing machine quickly deflected the honor back to his teammates.

"The last few games, I've been on them about moving and spacing properly," a vintage Kobe Bryant said. "But honestly, credit goes to them. They shot the ball with confidence and they made shots. When they do that, we become very difficult to guard. It enables me to kind of pick the opposition apart."
