With Eva Mendes' baby girl two months old, the "Lost River" star makes her first public appearance in Ellen, with a killer bod to boot.

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's baby girl is now two months old, and the new mom finally makes her first public appearance after the delivery. In an interview with Ellen Degeneres, "The Spirit" star confesses being a new mom isn't easy, but the role is growing on her.

The couple is caring for their newborn on their own, without a nanny or nurse, and Mendez prefers it that way. The last two months involved a continuous string of sleepless nights, though.

"No! No, G-d no. She's two months! You know, we're getting the hang of it, the sleeping thing... I'm so incredibly tired. I thought I was tired before at times, but no. Nothing like this. But I wouldn't have it any other way." (yahoo.com)

Mendez admitted the couple kept her pregnancy a secret, especially during the early months of her term. She even admitted she lied to Ellen in denying she was pregnant, during a guesting at the Ellen a few months earlier.

"I was so early on. All moms will understand, you're not supposed to tell anybody - well, certainly not the world - in your first trimester. And my mother didn't even know yet. So that would have been an awkward phone call. 'Hey mom did you catch Ellen today?' Um, oops!"

On the pressure of getting back in shape and into her pre-pregnancy physique, Eva will take things in stride.

"The whole bounce back thing, I'm like, 'Oh gosh. Ease up.' I mean, eventually maybe, but certainly not in a couple weeks."

Eva Mendes' baby girl is priority at the moment, and the actress is focusing on maintaining a healthy diet, as well as breastfeeding.

"It really does help to shrink your uterus back to normal size. I know it's a really weird thing to say, but it does... So breastfeeding is really helping, and then obviously you want to be healthy for the baby because she's eating what I'm eating, so you want to make good choices."
