Psy Breaks Youtube With 'Gangnam Style!' Who Could Break The Korean Singer’s Record For Most Viewed [Video] Ever?

Kim Kardashian tried to break the Internet with her nude photoshoot for Paper Magazine a couple of weeks ago. Now, it's a South Korean musician's turn. It's Psy's turn to break Youtube.

Although the horse-riding singer didn't exactly ruin the video streaming site per se, he did exceed the limit of views set for a video.

Youtube posted on Google Plus, "We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY."

The viral video now has more than 2.15 billion views and it's still increasing.

Thankfully, Youtube was able to upgrade their system to a 64-bit integer to allow 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 views according to The Independent.

"Gangnam Style," which was released in 2012, is already a BILLION views ahead from Justin Bieber's "Baby" which has 1.117 billion views, the publication reports. Eight other videos in Youtube's top ten most watched videos are from singers.

The list includes "On The Floor" by Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" by Shakira, "Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem and Rihanna, "Gentleman" by Psy, "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus, and "Roar" by Katy Perry.

The non-music related video included on the list is "Charlie bit my finger - again!" which is a clip of two cute kids on an armchair goofing around. It's number three in the top ten.

With Psy breaking Youtube like this, will he be able to overthrow his own self to exceed this current record?

His follow up song to "Gangname Style," the equally catchy "Gentleman" released in 2013 currently has more than 700 million views.

"Hangover" which he did with Snoop Dogg, on the other hand, only has about a hundred million views.

Who would be able to surpass the 2012 worldwide hit's feat?

Perhaps, another virtually unknown artist can come up with a video that would one day break the 64-integer limit that Youtube increased its system to. Or maybe a new music video by Psy would break Youtube again in the future.
