Super Smash Bros Wii U experienced having memory errors earlier this week. According to Game Rant, Nintendo "quietly released" OS 5.3.2 update for Wii U earlier today. Will it address the Super Smash Bros recent errors?
Reportedly, Nintendo did not exactly specify what aspects of the system have been stabilized by the update but it is assumed to address error codes 160-0103 and 160-1710 for Super Smash Bros since it is the primary problem that users are experiencing recently.
The official Nintendo Support site states:
"System stability improvements and other adjustments - Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user's experience."
Nintendo's reluctance to directly associate the system update to the recent problem Wii U users are experiencing may indicate that the company is trying to see if it will work. According to the report OS Update 5.3.2 came just four days after version 5.3.1 has been released which by far is reportedly the fastest turn-around time for upgrades in the console's history. Reportedly, a typical update occurs every few months which make users assume that version 5.3.2 was "pushed to address a specific problem rather than just routine stability improvement."
The recent error that Wii U experienced can swipe the memory and brick the system.
According to Gamnesia, Nintendo initially suggests either formatting the system and/or sending it to them for repairs. However, it seems that reformatting the system is what causes it to brick.
Nintendo tech forums previously suggest that this error code may not relate exclusively to Super Smash Bros. However, IGN reported that majority of recent discussions are related to the said game and that the common source of the error message is when the users update data from the game.
At the moment, gamers should wait if the system update will completely resolve the latest error code issues.
