Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's founder, hasn't taking things lightly after hearing Apple CEO addressed Facebook and Google's users into "products"
On a statement published last September by Apple CEO, Cook explained something about Apple's privacy policy.
"A few years ago, users of Internet services began to realize that when an online service is free, you're not the customer. You're the product," Cook wrote. "But at Apple, we believe a great customer experience shouldn't come at the expense of your privacy."
To which Zuck responded on a recent interview with Time. An irritated Zuckerberg said that the ad revenue models invading Facebook is totally ridiculous and even stated that:
"A frustration I have is that a lot of people increasingly seem to equate an advertising business model with somehow being out of alignment with your customers," Zuckerberg said. " What, you think because you're paying Apple that you're somehow in alignment with them? If you were in alignment with them, then they'd make their products a lot cheaper."
Although Cook's statement is geared more towards other competitors such as Google and others, It can also be applied to Facebook, from which Zuck got quite uneasy and ended up acknowledging the attack and responding on it.
Tim Cook, by the way, is pushing on the idea that with Apple, Privacy is guaranteed, Some were so rapid disagree because of the massive hack of the celebrities iCloud accounts. That privacy-concerned statement is somehow targeted to response on the recent hack attack. Or is really just for that privacy thing, not aiming the gun at Facebook?
On the other hand, Zuckerberg's statement is also for Ello, the anti-social network that doesn't get personal information and doesn't have a thing for advertisement but Zack, apparently, wouldn't go that far into getting all the user data, as the publicist changed the topic during the interview.
