Barry Allen is back home, fresh from his appearance in the Arrow with Captain Boomerang. He faces a mysterious yellow blur horrifying the Central City and leaving the police confused. Terrified when he thinks it was the man in the yellow suit, the one who killed his mother, who we all know as Reverse Flash. Barry wanted to face him, forcing a fight between them.
Most of were surprised when Barry didn't just hint at the involvement of Reverse Flash in the death of his mother, but revealed his flat out culpability in the premiere of the show's episode. Since then, fans have been fast to pin down true being of the Reverse Flash on Eddie Thawne played by Rick Cosnett because of the indisputable similarities etween his name Eobard Thawne, Reverse Flash identity in the comics.
But still, as any fan of The Flash's sister show, Arrow can tell, major comics characters are not always who we see on TV. Part of the mystery with these TV series is how they play with fans' expectations, and that is possibly just what they have planned for the Reverse Flash true identity revelation.
Grant Gustin has already hinted who Reverse Flash is when they do the fight next week. Viewing the extended teaser, he also isn't so focused with knowing who is the man behind the yellow suit is as he is eager to take him down. He clearly wanted to let his emotions get more of him, possibly spurred on the admittance of guilt by Reverse Flash, something that could lead Barry and friends into trouble.
Barry is furious when the Revere Flash managed to escape, but Cisco and Dr. Wells plan to set a trap for him. All they need is bait, so they eye on Dr. Tina McGee, a returning guest star from Mercury Labs to be the bait. In the meantime, it's Christmas at The West home and Iris is in full celeration cheer. Eddie provides her an astonishing gift but also disappears with a question that could transform her life. Joe joins the hunt for the man in yellow and finishes up in the crossfire.
