Windows 10 Final Build Consumer Preview Coming Soon, 'Cortana To Assure OS Not A Failure', January Release Unlikely

Windows 10 Final Build Consumer Preview Coming Soon. Microsoft reportedly introduced Windows 10 at a 'not-so-big' event in San Francisco, California when the developer preview was unveiled. The latest reports say that the Redmond, Seattle-based tech firm will offer a Final Edition for consumers in the second half of January.

The event will host a press and developers event for Windows 10 to show off the final changes made to the hotly anticipated Windows OS, which decided to skip the 'Windows 9' label after a lackluster performance from Windows 8. Microsoft and CEO Satya Nadella's team hope to make a new start with Windows 10.

The overlapping timeframe with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is something Microsoft is banking on to make its Windows 10 Final Build Consumer Preview more appealing to PC users.

Hallels reports, "Computer history is a great thing. It helps to know what and when you did something recently. Similarly, Microsoft will launch file history that will allow users to take a look at when file was edited, which user did it, and things like that," adding, "Apart from that, Cortana will definitely come to Windows 10 as voice command entices users. It will still be in early stages though, people would like to know about the capabilities of such a system that works as their phone."

"The upcoming operating system should prove to be quite enjoyable for the majority of users. Microsoft is taking certain aspects back to their basics, allowing consumers to work through the new features in their intended manner, such as a mouse and keyboard on the desktop computers. The software release cannot get here soon enough, "says JBGNews.com

Microsoft plans to reveal details about the touch display technology and integration of Windows 10 with Windows RT during the Windows 10 Final Build Consumer Preview coming soon. There is no evidence to suggest if Microsoft will release Windows 10 in January. Reports say that the new OS is likely to be unleashed during Microsoft's yearly BUILD conference planned for the summer.
