Beyonce has developed a passion in making long, straightforward, and mind-boggling music videos for the past few years. More recently, she's done a new one called "Yours and Mine," and it was released a few days back to mark the first anniversary of her album "Beyonce".
Although the video is not actually for one of her singles, it does have some music samples as well as footages from her other music videos. What the fans get is really a short film where Beyonce clearly tells her story to the world.
The entire video is shot entirely in black and white, as the diva talks about her moments of her life as a career woman, a public figure, and a family woman. All that makes her the woman that she is now, Beyonce deliveres them all in balance in her latest video.
The first half of the video shows Beyonce describing the hardships of being famous and why most people should not want it. She also mentions the responsibilities, consequences, as well as the expectations of being popular based on the years she has been in the music industry.
On the second part of the video, Beyonce begins to talk more of her personal outlook and how she’s always been viewed as a feminist. She also describes herself as a humanist, emphasizing the pressures both on men and women.
Beyonce also talks about herself as the wife to rapper Jay Z, and how having a “witness to your life” is a wonderful experience and how marriage doesn’t mean for a person to lose something of themselves since they can be the best of friends, a companion for each other for life. She even shares her thoughts on being a mother, with several shots of her with daughter Blue Ivy.
Finally, Beyonce shows her dedication to the people who love, regardless of the manner and manifestation. The video, as a whole, is something that would leave the viewer thinking about their outlook on human rights and equality.
