It's still early in the kdramastars poll but it looks as if "Pinocchio" is so far ahead in the running for top drama that it may be hard to beat. The drama about a woman who cannot tell a lie and a man who lives on has earned an incredible 60.04 percent of the vote. That's more than all the other dramas combined, including fan favorites "You Who Came From The Stars," "It's Okay, It's Love" and "Emergency Couple."
And it's light years ahead of dramas that won critical acclaim, such as "Empress Ki," "Misaeng" and "Secret Love Affair."
The popularity of the drama's stars Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk has a lot to do with "Pinocchio" earning first place but it also delivers drama conflict and interesting plot twists.
In second place was "You Who Came From The Stars." The alien-human romance, which starred Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun, earned 16.53 percent. "It's Okay, It's Love," starring Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin, was in third place with 6.43 percent of the vote.
Will "Pinocchio" claim first place for the duration of the poll? That depends on who votes and how often they vote.
The order of the first three actors of the Best Actor category stayed the same with CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa in first place. The star of "The Three Musketeers" earned 43.1 percent of the vote. Lee Jong Suk edged up a little with 31.05 percent of the vote, while Kim Soo Hyun dropped to 12.26 percent from 14.57 percent. JYJ's Kim Jaejoong, who appeared this year in "Triangle," moved up from sixth place to fourth, now scoring 3.78 percent of the vote. Jo In Sung followed him at 2.84 percent.
First Place in the Best Actress category went again to Park Shin Hye but with a slightly smaller margin. The popular star of 'Pinocchio' scored 62.64 percent of the vote. Second place went to Jun Ji Hyun, who played the Hallyu star in "You Who Came From The Stars." Her vote also dropped slightly to 9.24 percent. Third place holder Gu Hye Sun saw the numbers for her "Angel Eyes" performance also drop to 6.77 percent. Kim So Eun, star of "The Liar Game" is now in fourth place with 6.02 percent. Song Ji Hyo, who played the divorcee doctor in "Emergency Couple," is now in fifth place with 4.89 percent of the vote.
