"Frozen 2" plot, cast and release date rumors continue to spread like wildfire online despite Disney keeping mum about making the sequel.
Fans are clamouring for a second movie despite a confirmation that a short, books and a musical are slated to be launched next year.
The first movie was inspired by Andersen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen," and if Disney should decide to make the sequel, "Frozen" fans should expect the story to be a little bit less Disney happy.
Disney has confirmed that there will be another "Frozen" flick in 2015. "Frozen Fever" will be released next spring, and will have directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck on board again. "Let It Go" composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will reportedly write a new song (another hit perhaps) for the new film.
The new movie will feature a very simple plot involving Anna's birthday. Elsa and Kristoff will be in charge of the whole planning, but the ice queen's powers could cause some troubles. However no word has been released about "Frozen 2."
In an interview with Pop Sugar, Buck and Lee shared that "Frozen" has a huge potential: "I think the characters are very rich, [and] I think there are other stories left to tell."
Meanwhile a "Frozen 2" plot, cast and release date rumor from Movie Pilot noted there might be several plots that can be chosen from for the sequel. One includes an evil troll with a magic mirror, and the Snow Queen.
"The magic mirror smashes into a thousand tiny pieces and the grains are blown into people's hearts and eyes... meaning that they will only see the bad and ugly in everything in the world," the article read.
"In The Snow Queen the Snow Queen is the ruler of the 'snow bees.' While the character of the Snow Queen might already have a little in common with Elsa, I think this could be an interesting plot for Frozen 2. Perhaps there is another queen with evil ice powers who comes up against Elsa somehow? Elsa vs. the Snow Queen? It could be great to see, not to mention: snow bees?!"
