There's always a clue for every working title for "Captain America". This time, "Captain America 3" goes "Sputnik".
A lot of speculations on the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" have been developing time after time, particularly after the so-called "Sony Hack" has suddenly turn the World Wide Web upside-down.
However, if we look at the working title "Sputnik", we could think of the Soviet Union and The Winter Soldier as focus of the storyline despite the official title - "Captain America: Civil War".
Civil War in Marvel comics is about the Superhuman Registration Act that starts the feud between the two Avengers - Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans and Tony Starks, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. and Spider-Man is the confused superhero who doesn't know which side to take.
But if we were to analyze every working title for "Captain America", we can speculate that a different reason would trigger the war between Captain America and Iron Man in "Captain America 3", which will adapt the "Civil War" story arc.
Like in the first sequel, it had the working title "Frostbite", which of course, tells about the story of Steve Rogers and the search and rescue project of the S.H.I.E.L.D in locating Steve Rogers.
Then, the "Freezer Burn" became the working title for the second installment to develop the story of "The Winter Soldier", which is a titular role played by Sebastian Stan. Both Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers were thought to be dead during the World War II. But after 70 years, the former friends meet again but as enemies when Barnes appeared as an enhanced brainwashed assassin, while Steve Rogers as Captain America who has to protect the mankind.
This time, "Sputnik" may also leave clue on the plot of the "Captain America 3".
In speculations and analyses of Andrew Steinbeiser of Comic Book, he said, "So what can we glean from this title, which is also the name of Soviet's first space mission? For starters, there's the obvious Winter Soldier connection. As many recall, Bucky Barnes was reprogrammed into The Winter Soldier by the Soviet Union after WWII. Indeed, Marvel already confirmed that actor Sebastian Stan would return as The Winter Soldier in Civil War."
