Despite the House of Mouse keeping mum, "Frozen 2" plot, cast and release date rumors spread online.
According to new reports, it seems that the sequel might far from reality as of writing. Disney has hit the jackpot with "Frozen," and they're definitely making sure to get the sequel right or it will ruin the impact the first movie has made. Disney however confirmed that the short "Frozen Fever" has been slated for a spring 2015 release, as well as Frozen books.
Hallels reported that Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will reprise their roles in the planned short.
Producer John Lasseter said, "We are bringing back the characters from Frozen. We are doing a short. It will have a new song. Basically, the whole crew is returning. It is absolutely hilarious."
In an interview published on Hallels, Disney's Bob Iger mentioned that "In order to make the perfect movie sequel, the filmmakers have to write the perfect follow-up story for it. Otherwise, 'Frozen' won't be as good anymore and that would surely disappoint everyone."
Meanwhile, new "Frozen 2" plot, cast and release date rumors are claiming that a new star will join the sequel should it materialize. Cinema Blend in an interview with Emily Blunt, asked the actress about a possible role in the hit animation as she will be starring in another Disney movie- "Into the Woods."
"No, no! That [series] is for my friend Kristen Bell, who just CRUSHED it, and I am so happy for her. So no. I don't know. There's just never going to be another Elsa and an Anna. There's just can't," Emily said.
The actress however, is open to doing more films with Disney, and even lending her voice to a new princess.
"Wouldn't that be great? Who knows? She could be obsessed with flowers, or something," she said in jest.
