Good news Marvel fans as new updates and rumors for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have been revealed.

An interesting theory has popped out last week, regarding the identity of agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) as fans speculate that he is entirely another Marvel character that the showrunners decided to hide it from the fans.

According to reports form ComicBook.com, Grant Ward's rumored identity in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the supervillain/mercenary Taskmaster. If these rumors were true then Grant Ward would likely have an even bigger role not just in the TV show, but in the Marvel Cinematic Universe given the character's popularity to die hard Marvel and comicbook fans.

For those who are not familiar with who Taskmaster is in the comics, Tony Masters is a mercenary with the ability to copy or mimic the fighting styles of everyone he sees making him an effective fighter against the likes of Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine etc., and often works with the likes The Red Skull, Baron Zemo, Norman Osborn (the Green Goblin), and many more.

Aside from his mercenary work, he also established several schools for would be soldiers and mercenaries for several terrorist organization such as HYDRA,and A.I.M as well as criminals and supervillains.. In recent comicbook issues such as Fred Van Lente's Taskmaster mini series, it was revealed that Taskmaster was a SHIELD sleeper agent that was injected with a version of the Super Soldier serum, which gain him his abilities and is led to believe he is running a criminal organization called the Org, but was actually a front for his handler/wife Mercedes Merced. Although gaining these abilities a side-effect of the serum is that Taskmaster can’t make room in his memory for much of anything else, which leads him to constant state of amnesia.

Marvel has already confirmed the identities of several characters in the show such as Skye being Daisy "Quake" Johnson, and her father being Calvin Zabo a.k.a. Mister Hyde, Joss Whedon and the rest of the showrunners might be teasing Marvel fans of things to come in the show.

In other news, two members of the Avengers will likely guest star in the show.

Several news sources claimed that Iron Man and Hawkeye are rumored to make a cameo in the Agents of SHIELD.

According to reports from Cinema Blend, Clark Gregg posted a photo of Hawkeye and his character Phil Coulson having some sort of face-off as Barton was aiming his bow and arrow at him, while Coulson does the same thing with his gun.

CrossMap reports that Joss Whedon explained Hawkeyes role in future developments during an interview with Super Hero Hype.

"Uhm, yeah, we are, 'cause something's up with that boy. That's all I'm gonna say."

It was rumored before that Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Sharon Carter will appear in season 2 of the show, and it looks like Marvel will likely make the fans wishes come true.

As for Tony Stark, Enstarz reports that Robert Downy Jr. took to reddit expressing his desire to make a cameo within the show someday. CLICK here for more information.
