Did Joseph Gordon-Levitt get married?

The "500 Days of Summer" just tied the knot with girlfriend Tasha McCauley in secret wedding. The couple was officially wed Saturday, December 20, and in a more modest venue: the actor's home.

His rep confirmed Joseph Gordon-Levitt is married indeed, as confirmed in an Us Weekly report. The "Dark Knight Rises" star is notoriously secretive when it comes to his private life, confirming he was in a relationship way back in September 2013. Now it's a fact the actor has tied the knot (usmagazine.com).

In an earlier interview with Howard Stern, Gordon-Levitt confirmed as much that he was in a relationship and that the lady isn't in show-business.

"I think I'm a pretty good person and a good boyfriend. Yeah, I just wouldn't want to be with someone who was disrespectful to me. [She's] not in show business."

He was also quite open about the prospect of marriage back then, saying "I think that I could partner up with somebody -- I don't know who that somebody is -- I could partner up with a woman and commit to we're going to raise a family and that's a project we're going to commit to for 20-something years.

I like to not be too committed to any one future that's really far away, necessarily, unless there's a reason, which is why I'm saying if you're gonna raise a family...I can make that commitment."

It's confirmed Joseph Gordon-Levitt did get married, and to an actual scientist to boot. His new wife Tasha McCauley is founder and CEO of Fellow Robots, a robotics company partnered with NASA.

This is Gordon-Levitt's first marriage; the actor was previously rumored in relationship with "500 Days of Summer" co-star Zooey Deschanel.

The actor now wed settles uncertainties on whether he's up for marriage, especially with the news revealed as quite the surprise (eonline.com).
