Good news for Deadpool fans as the Deadpool movie cast would include Psylocke and Cable if the reports and rumors are to be believed.
Comic Central City has reported that Deadpool would not be the only high profile mutant in the Deadpool movie as Psylocke and Cable is rumored to be at the top of the list of characters that could be added to the movie.
It should be noted that Psylocke and Cable are one Deadpool's greatest partners in the comics and it would make sense that they would be in the film seeing that the Deadpool movie would not be an origin story of the character.
This rumor of the Psylocke and Cable being the Deadpool movie is given credibility by the fact that Simon Kinberg himself has admitted that they have actually tried to shoehorn both mutants in past X-Men movies and they would still like to add them in future films.
Screenrant quotes Simon Kinberg when he talked about Psylocke and Cable:
"She's a fan favorite, and also a favorite of mine. We have a small part that she plays in 'Last Stand', and we talked about including her in 'DOFP' quite seriously actually. There was a version of the script she was in and we even auditioned some actors in Montreal. But we didn't feel there was enough of a part she would play in a movie that was already full of many, many mutants.
"She has a cool power. I know Bryan thinks she's a neat character so there's certainly a chance she'll be in an X-Men movie some day. Hopefully there'll be a lot of X-Men movies and there's lot of mutants we're yet to fully explore onscreen, even if they've had cameos before. Now we're making more films there's a chance to dig deeper."
"We also talked about including him (Cable) in 'DOFP'. I will say, we love the character, we'd love to find a place for him in these movies, but I cannot confirm or deny which characters will actually be in 'Apocalypse' until I read some spoilers!"
