Fans and gamers will surely rejoice about their speculations of "BioShock" Movie Concept Art Show may be true.
The Irrational Games "BioShock" frequently mentioned as one of the greatest games of the 21st century- if not then it may be one of the greatest games ever. Had in a haunting underwater city with desolated opulence in every corner, BioShock is moving, creepy, shocking, and unbelievably atmospheric.
As Often like with successful games, people were clamoring for adaptation of movie. Hollywood soon obligued by putting Bioshock movie into development with the director of Pirates of the Carribean Gore Verbinski bound to direct the said movie. However, Verbinski dropped it out after the choice between making the movie to a PG-13 or cutting off the Budget worth one hundred twenty million dollars ($120M) and afterwards Irrational Games' Ken Levine dismiss the project altogether.
The BioShock would have worked as a movie is arguable although as a lot of the subtext in the original game with the experience of actually playing video games, but it is so sure that its worth to see Rapture and other colorful characters like Sander Cohen, Andrew Ryan and Brigid Tenebaum arise and have life.
Although it is possible for now the film to come fruition, the concept designer Kasra Farahani still has a gallery of concept art that he put together for Oscar-winning production designer Rick Heinricks.
It appears to depict a power station where the Plasmid-powering drug called Eve is depicted from the bodies of Rapture's little sisters and flowed into adult characters.
The artwork sets are definitely look more cavernous than those in the game that they give impression to Verbinski was planning for a new story rather than direct adaptation to the story of Bioshock. But we are sure that another filmmaker will have a go at bringing Rapture to the Big Screen.
