"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice has reported to prison in Danbury, Connecticut early this morning to begin her 15-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to tax fraud, according to Good Morning America.
The days before Teresa Giudice left were difficult for her four daughters, evident from her eldest daughter Gia's recent tweets.
"Can't sleep, too much stuff on my mind," Gia had written on her Twitter account, according to People.
On Sunday night, the 13-year-old revealed that she was staying strong during this difficult time.
"Support system is unreal," tweeted the member of girl group 3KT.
Teresa Giudice is leaving behind her four daughters, Gia, 10-year-old Gabriela, 8-year-old Milania and 5-year-old Audriana.
"It's going to be hard," a source close to the RHONJ cast member stated.
Teresa Giudice reportedly drove overnight from her home in New Jersey to report to prison, according to her attorney James Leonard.
"Mentally and emotionally she was prepared," explained Leonard.
He added that husband Joe Giudice "was somber."
"The enormity of this entire situation hit him," added Leonard.
44-year-old Joe Giudice will reportedly be serving his 41-month sentence when his wife returns. The father-of-four may reportedly be deported when he finished his prison term.
