Olivier Martinez is all about keeping his family safe, especially when it comes to the paparazzi.

The actor reportedly got into an altercation after paparazzi bombarded him and his family, wife Halle Berry, the actress’ 6-year-old daughter Nahla and their 1-year-old son Maceo, at LAX on Sunday, according to CBS News.

The Los Angeles Airport police reportedly confirmed that a celebrity family was leaving the Tom Bradley International Terminal when the man, who is believed to be Olivier Martinez, shoved a contract airport employee to the ground with an empty baby car seat that he was carrying. The employee was reportedly transported to a local hospital for further medical care and a battery reported has been filled out.

Martinez, along with Berry and their daughter and son, were reportedly flying out from Los Angeles at the time of the incident, according to the Irish Independent. The unnamed alleged victim was reportedly “believed” to be taking photographs of the family, according to Gossip Cop.

Martinez and Berry have reportedly expressed their concern with the paparazzi in the past, with the couple even considering moving to France where paparazzi laws are much stricter. The celebrity couple were also reportedly supportive of the No Kids Policy, which sees websites agree not to use images of celebrities’ children.

Halle Berry also reportedly testified on behalf of a bill to stop paparazzi getting too close to kids in 2013.

“I started this fight with a great deal of hope and a bit of uncertainty so I cannot express my immense gratitude that Governor Brown [who signed it into law] has recognized and acted to remedy, the plight of children who are tormented because of the identity or prominence of their parents,” explained Berry.

She added, “On behalf of my children, it is my hope that this is the beginning of the end for those overly aggressive paparazzi whose outrageous conduct has caused so much trauma and emotional distress.”
