It was only several weeks ago that reports of Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden’s engagement surfaced.

The couple of seven months reportedly got married last night at Cameron Diaz’s Los Angeles home, according People, and Nicole Richie may have had a whole lot to do with it.

The “Charlie’s Angels” actress and the Good Charlotte singer reportedly started dating after they were introduced by Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji’s twin, Joel, according to the NY Daily News.

“I’m going to take responsibility for everything!,” Richie had said on “Watch What Happens Live!”

She added, “I approve of anything that’s going to make Benji happy.”

The wedding reportedly consisted of 90 guests, including Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow. The atmosphere was reportedly set by candles, dim-lighting and white flowers, courtesy of celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren.

“It was a big wedding, but they still managed to make it feel very personable. Only their families and very special friends attended. It felt very down-to-earth and sweet,” a source told People.

Diaz’s sister Chimene and Drew Barrymore were reportedly among the bridesmaids in the ceremony, according to Fox News. Barrymore reportedly threw a bridal shower for the 42-year-old actress on Sunday morning.

Both Diaz and Madden have quite a star-studded dating history. Diaz had reportedly previously dated Justin Timberlake and Sean Diddy Combs while Madden’s exes include Paris Hilton and Holly Madison.

“We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends,” the couple stated.
