Teresa Giudice entered the Danbury Federal Correction Institute in Danbury, Connecticut this week.
Several days after the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star reported to prison, the asking price for her six-bedroom New Jersey house dropped another $500,000 this week, according to People.
Although the mansion is gorgeous, even including gold-plated fixtures and a double staircase in the hotel lobby-scaled foyer, according to the Boston Herald, it seems like Teresa Guide and her husband Joe Giudice are having a difficult time selling their house. The asking price for the house has gone from $3.499 million to $2.999 million.
The property was initially listed in September 2014 at $3.999 million.
Even though 42-year-old Teresa Giudice hasn’t had the best start to the new year as she’s had to leave her four daughters at home to serve her prison sentence, things are slowly starting to get better already. The Bureau of Prison Website’s “inmate locator” feature reportedly now lists Teresa Giudice’s release date as February 5, 2016.
Teresa Giudice is reportedly trying to take things “one day at a time,” according to E! News.
“I think she hopes to turn it into something positive,” the RHONJ cast member’s attorney James L. Leonard Jr. told the media outlet.
He added, “She’s indicated that if she had her choice to work she would like to work in the kitchen facility because she’s obviously a good cook.”
After Teresa left for prison, Joe Giudice and the couple’s four young daughters have stayed strong.
“This is a very strong family and they’re going to be fine. He told me that obviously it was a difficult day but that everybody was doing OK. He’s a strong man, very strong family man, and a good father,” explained Leonard.
