Bill Cosby has reportedly been accused of sexual assaulting more than 15 women.
Despite the gravity of the allegations, which has eventually led to lawsuits from his accusers, the 77-year-old comedian reportedly decided to make jokes about the women’s stories of being drugged by the “Cosby Show” star, according to Mercury News.
“You have to be careful about drinking around me,” Cosby reportedly told a woman at his show in Canada on Thursday, according to multiple people in the room.
The woman was reportedly getting up from her front-row seat at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario when Bill Cosby asked where she was going. She reportedly replied she was getting a drink and when she asked if he wanted one, the comedian responded with the joke.
Minutes after the incident, a heckler was reportedly removed from the performance by police after yelling “Bill Cosby you’re a rapist,” according to CNN. Cosby reportedly did not confront the man and encouraged the audience to remain calm.
“Dear Fans: One outburst but over 2600 loyal, patient and courageous fans enjoyed the most wonderful medicine that exist for human-kind. Laughter. I thank you, the theatre staff (Budweiser Gardens), the event organizers and the London, ON Community for your continued honor and support. I'm Far From Finished,” read the statement Cosby released through his publicist.
Protestors were reportedly seen outside the venues that Bill Cosby was performing at in Canada.
“These are very serious allegations, and I think he’s not taking them seriously and in this day and age these need to be taken seriously,” stated protestor Dan Hilton.
