Surprising news of a woman giving birth an hour after pregnancy has gone viral! People reported that 23-year old Katherine Kropas of Weymouth, Massachusetts, has given birth to a baby girl Tuesday morning an hour after having found out she was pregnant.

ABC reported via an article in People that Kropas dropped by at South Shore Hospital this past Tuesday morning to get a major back pain treated.

Doctors allegedly initially could not decipher the source of the pain when Kropas requested for treatment. Doctors then conducted an ultrasound as a last resort. At that time, they discovered that a woman was about to give birth after an hour of pregnancy.

Kropas reportedly told WCVB via the same article in People:

"They took one look, and they rushed me off into labor,"

"I found out that I was having a baby at 10:15. She was born at 11:06 p.m."

A woman gave birth after an hour of pregnancy to a little girl named Ellie, weighing 10 lbs.

According to Kropas, she never experienced previous pregnancy symptoms. The first time mother said her menstrual cycle has always been consistent prior to the pregnancy being discovered. Kropas and her boyfriend allegedly used birth control for pregnancy protection.

Kropas did attribute her recent weight gain to the holidays.

Mother and daughter are on their way to establishing a new family with loved ones. This comes, in the midst of the unexpected birth of Ellie.
