“Taken 3” starring Liam Neeson was released in theaters yesterday and fans of the films as well as the actor are pretty satisfied so far.
However, movie-goers shouldn’t get ready to close the door on the “Taken” franchise just yet, as “Taken 4” just might be a possibility.
When asked if the recently released “Taken 3” is the last one, Liam Neeson stated that it’s all up to the fans.
“There’s always, I think if audiences go and see it and they like these characters, I mean, I’d love to do something with Forest again, and if it’s in a ‘Taken 4’ scenario, great,” stated Neeson during an interview with Fox411.
Given the solid fan base that both Liam Neeson and the “Taken” movies have generated, it seems like a “Taken 4” release date might come our way in the far future.
“There's a part of me that doesn't quite believe it [how much fans are invested in films], do you know what I mean?,” asked 62-year-old actor.
He added, “But that's to do with my own issues, confidence issues I guess. But certainly when I'm out and about and traveling, I'm always surprised people come up to you in airports and it's not just young guys of 16 and 17. It's young girls and it’s moms and grandparents too. It's very, very touching you know?”
One reason “Taken” is so addicting? Liam Neeson knows how to bring his character off-screen, evident from his on-screen daughter Maggie Grace’s recent story of how the actor prank-called her ex-boyfriend.
