Good news Marvel fans as new updates, and details for Captain America: Civil War have been revealed.
We start off with the news that "Black and White" star Anthony Mackie hinting a little spoiler about the movie. There have been several rumors before that Mackie's character Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon will replace Steve Rogers for the mantle of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, similar to their comic book counterparts.
According to reports from ScreenRant, The Windy City Live conducted an interview with Mackie about Captain America 3, while promoting his new movie with Kevin Costner last week.
“Well, you know there are many incarnations in the comic book, and we are now going into the Civil War. So, if you look at it in the comic book, Cap gives Bucky the shield, Bucky gives it back to Cap, Cap gives it to me… Then Bucky goes off and marries Black Widow, so I keep the shield, give it back to Cap, and recently Cap wanted to be old, so he gave me the shield back and now I got the shield; I’m not giving it back.”
With that being said, could this mean that we might see Anthony Mackie holding the iconic star spangled shield someday?
Chris Evans cleared the air on MTV News that he won't gave up the shield, but knowing Marvel Studios, anything could happen. Don't forget, Sebastians Stan's character Winter Soldier is also possible contender to replace Cap in the movies much like in the comics.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors that "Rush"star Daniel Bruhl will playe Baron Zemo in Civil War movie.
ComicBook.com reports, that Daniel Bruhl might be Baron Zemo in the movie, while other characters that are linked to him were Baron Mordo, Nikolaus Geist, and the Red Skull who Hugo Weaving played in the first Captain America film. For now, there are not confirmation yet on the role, and fans will just have to wait for Marvel's announcement regarding Bruhl's role in the movie.
