Ciara and Future's break up appears to be the inspiration for her new song, "I Bet". According to a report from Billboard, the diva sings about cheating and being unappreciated in her upcoming track, following her nasty split with ex-fiancé.
Ciara's new song is said to be similar to the R&B hitmaker's earlier tracks "Goodies" and "I". It was co-written by Theron Thomas of Rock City.
The lyrics appears to talk about Ciara and Future's failed relationship. The two split after the rapper allegedly cheated on his girlfriend with several women, including stylist Tyrina Lee and newcomer Tinashe.
"I bet you start loving me... needing me/ As soon as you see me with someone else/ Somebody other... better than you," Ciara sang in her new song.
"And I know that it hurts/ You know that it hurts your pride/ But you thought the grass was greener on the other side."
"You acting like you upgraded me, but I upgraded you... You took advantage, I can't understand it," said part of Ciara's new song.
Aware that Ciara and Future breakup news will resurface with her new song, the sexy songstress explained how "I Bet" will be able to inspire a lot of people.
"I imagine this song ('I Bet') will be very meaningful for a lot of people," Ciara told Billboard.
"(The song) is much bigger than any one person's experience," the single mom added. Ciara has a son with her former boyfriend. The child, Future Wilburn Zahir, will turn one-year-old this May.
The "Body Party" singer also shared about hoe excited she is about her new music.
"I am truly fulfilled by this experience of making my new music," Ciara gushed.
"I was able to create everything I have aspired and hoped for as an artist. It is my favorite album I have made thus far in my career, and so excited begin my new journey."
"It is a new me. A new attitude," Ciara added.
