"The Theory Of Everything" star Eddie Redmayne may have beaten out "The Imitation Game" star Benedict Cumberbatch at the Golden Globes but they still have other award shows to compete in. One in particular is the Oscars 2015 Best Actor award.
Truth be told, none of them might get the trophy at all. They are, after all, competing with three other outstanding performers.
They will be competing against "Birdman" star Michael Keaton, who also took home the Golden Globes for Best Actor in Comedy, as well as "Foxcatcher" actor Steve Carell. "American Sniper" lead actor Bradley Cooper is also a strong contender.
Despite the rivalry being played up, however, the British actors are actually good friends.
Redmayne told Entertainment Weekly that, although he and "The Hobbit" star haven't spoken in person yet, they sent text messages to each other about the Oscar nominations with "many an exclamation mark being used."
