It looks like Square Enix has revealed new gameplay details for Final Fantasy XV for gaming fans around the world.
According to the official Final Fantasy fan site Nova Crystallis, Square Enix has put several new details on FFXV's combat system in the latest issue of V-Magazine. The website points out that these combat improvements include attacking, parrying, and dodging depending on the situation and environment in the game.
The system will based on the player's desired skills such as attack and defense techniques, as well as evasion and teleportation abilities. But what its interesting here is that the Nova Crystallis manage to scan a page in the V-Magazine that features Noctis using a counter attack to an enemy using a dragoon spear. This might indicate that Noctis can wield other types of weapons aside from swords, and can counter attack enemies in a certain situation.
With all these new info seems very impressive, but sadly it comes at a prices as it seems Square Enix won't include the Car that Noctis, and company are driving in the FFXV demo.
According to reports from Polygon, FFXV director Hajime Tabata explained that he was a bit worried that the game will likely focus on driving than the usual RPG style gameplay they are used to see.
"Originally we were planning on making the car be available to drive throughout the world and throughout the demo," Tabata told Polygon. "But we didn't want people to mistake it and think 'When did Final Fantasy become a driving game?'"
He also further adds that he wanted to give the fans a good experience in the demo.
"You'll be able to experience the starting point of what an open-world Final Fantasy would potentially feel like," Tabata said. "You'll really be able to experience that seamless Final Fantasy world within the demo itself, but then if you play it, you'll still really get a sense that it's a Final Fantasy game. You'll get that balance within the demo."
Lastly, there have been rumors that new summons and customizations are being developed in the game.
Venture Capital Post reported before that players can customized the car in any any shape or form that he/she desires. But that's note all, new summons are also being included in the game and YouTube user "Asleep in Fantasy" points out that these include eviathan, Ifrit, Bahamut, and Fenrir.
The Final Fantasy XV demo will be included in the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD game on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe for the PS4 and Xbox One.
