It looks like the Deadpool movie is going for an R-13 rating despite the creator of Deadpool insisting that it should be rated PG-13.
Comic Central City has reported that the Fox is gunning for an R-13 rating for the Deadpool movie to the delight of the fans and much to the chagrin of Deadpool's creator, Rob Liefeld.
Rob Liefeld has been pushing for a PG-13 release of Deadpool for a while now, claiming that Deadpool is going to be successful at PG-13.
Thank u RT @hedofthebloom: @robertliefeld If HANNIBAL can air on primetime network television, DEADPOOL can be PG-13 and still be bad ass.

All you who want to die on the R rated hill, we will replace you with equally enthusiastic teenagers. Deadpool can't be stopped. — robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) July 30, 2014
The brilliant screenplay has been equally brilliantly modified.... R is not a blockade any longer.

Yup RT @JediKnightJosh: @robertliefeld I've understood the whole "It's gotta be R!" crowd. DP can be hilarious and brutal in a PG13 setting. — robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) July 30, 2014
I somehow missed all the R rated blood dripping in the brilliant DP footage that leaked? Still a success yes????

Honestly, I'd rather set the table, fight the stigma now, get out on front.... DP comics are PG-13 — robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) July 30, 2014
Now that Fox is gunning for an R-13 rating for the movie, it can be much more flexible on the violence and humor that can happen on the film as was stated on the report.
Meanwhile, the shoot of Deadpool movie is set to start this coming March and it's going to take place in Vancouver.
It should be noted that the X-Men: Apocalypse production team is also set to shoot in Canada but in Montreal.
The Deadpool movie is being directed by Tim Miller, and it's scheduled for release in February 2016.
