Johnny Depp And Paul Bettany Had ‘Naked’ Work Outs For ‘Mortdecai’: Actors Wore ‘Legwarmers And Nothing Else’

It seems like Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany had a blast while working together on their new film “Mortdecai.”

The two stars reportedly worked out together “every morning, naked,” Bettany stated during an interview with PopSugar.

Depp hilariously added on to the joke, saying, “We did our Jazzercise, with the legwarmers,” to which Bettany responded with “And that was it. Legwarmers and nothing else.”

The naked workout thing may not have happened, but it’s a sure thing that Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany have remained good friends throughout their work on films including “Transcendence” and “The Tourist.”

“Mortdecai,” which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor, is about a British aristocrat and art dealer Charlie Mortdecai, played by Johnny Depp, who goes about searching for a stolen Goya painting in order to support his lavish lifestyle.

Aside from the buzz that “Mortdecai” has been getting, Johnny Depp has been making headlines for unintentionally insulting Keanu Reeves and Russell Crowe and their short-lived music careers.

Depp shut down rumors that he’ll be releasing an album in the process as well.

“You won’t be hearing the Johnny Depp Band — that won’t ever exist,” stated the 51-year-old actor, who has previously performed on stage with Oasis, according to RTE Ten.

He added, “That whole idea for me is a sickening thing, it’s always just made me sick. The kind of luxury now is, anybody with a certain amount of success, if you have a kind of musical being, you can go out and start a band a capitalize on your work in other areas.”

Several actors, including Jared Leto, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. have reportedly tried their hand at music in the past.

“I hate the idea, ‘Come see me play the guitar because you’ve seen me in 12 movies.’ It shouldn’t be [that way], You want the people who are listening to the music to only be interested in the music,” explained Depp.
