Kanye West has set the Internet abuzz twice in the first 3 weeks of 2015 with the unexpected release of two separate singles: "Only One" and "FourFiveSeconds." The rapper's forthcoming album, expected to be released in 2015, is quickly becoming the most anticipated record of the year. What will be the title of the new Kanye West album? According to an accidental slip-up by Ellen DeGeneres, the name of the new record could come from first single "Only One!"
Comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres unintentionally "announced" the title of Kanye West's new album in a post on her website.
"I'm so excited. Monday is my birthday! I'm going to be celebrating all week long," explained Ellen before letting the supposed CD name slip.
"I'm celebrating with some really wonderful people, too. Kanye West will be here for an exclusive interview! He has a new CD coming out called 'Only One.' I hope I can keep it," she explained in the post.
Will Kanye West's new album be titled "Only One," after the name of his lead single?
Not quite, according to West's representative to Billboard. Ellen's announcement was "incorrect," and thus does not reflect the true name of Yeezy's upcoming 2015 album.
So, Kanye West fans, it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to learn the title and release date of the upcoming Yeezy album!
But if the release of both "Only One" and "FourFiveSeconds" within a few weeks of each other is any sign, we could be hearing even more songs from the untitled 2015 record soon.
The 2015 Kanye West singles are already gaining major radio airplay as they climb up the charts. While both songs feature Paul McCartney, "FourFiveSeconds" also features R&B songstress and pop diva Rihanna.
In other news, previous rumors that Paul McCartney co-produced West's new album in its entirety have also been shot down by the rapper's representatives, leaving fans in anticipation as to what they will hear next from the "Yeezus" artist.
