Good news for gamers as the Overwatch Open beta release date has been set on February 10 if the reports and rumors are to be believed.
It has been reported by Cyberland that Blizzard has reportedly set the open beta for Overwatch this February 10
But is Overwatch going to be free-to-play just like Team Fortress 2 or would you have to pay for it to play it?
Jeff Kaplan of Blizzard had an interview with Kotaku and he unveiled new details about the game's financial model, single player campaign modes and more.
"I don't think we would ever do a single-player campaign, because the way these characters work, they're cool when you combine them together. Some don't play well alone, either. Unless we built a campaign around supporting somebody else, a support character like Mercy probably wouldn't do well,"
VG 24/7 reported that "Blizzard is not sure if the game will be free-to-play or not though, but they insist whatever model it ends up using, it has to be a 'a fair deal' without people feeling 'ripped off'."
With Blizzard considering doing a business model that would negate people feeling ripped off and instead they had a fair deal, it can be speculated that Blizzard is leaning towards a pay-to-play scheme for Overwatch.
