Ciara's break up appears to have motivated the "Body Party" singer to lose weight. According to a report from Hollywood Take, the single mom shared her diet and workout tips following her recent split with ex-fiance Future.
Ciara's break up seems to have done her well as the sexy songstress displayed her fit post-baby body during the recently concluded The Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards.
Wearing a Calvin Klein suit and crop top, Ciara did not even look like she just had a baby - a son named Future Wilburn Zahir - eight months ago.
She and the baby's father called off their engagement after Future got involved in several cheating scandals with other women, including his tour stylist Tyrina Lee, and an R&B newcomer named Tinashe.
While appearing to have moved on from her ex-fiance, Ciara shared how she dropped her baby weight, and how she plans to keep it off.
"I had to wait six weeks after I gave birth to my son, and as soon as the doctor said, 'You can go,' I went," Ciara said.
"I trained two times a day. I had a meal plan delivered to my door every day, where it was about the good carbs and the good fibers."
"I just went hard for it. I literally was like a zombie!," she joked.
After Ciara's pregnancy and break up, the singer worked with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to shed the extra pounds she gained. Her diet requires her to eat five to seven small meals per day, with lunch as her biggest meal for the day. She also mostly consumes protein, and avoids carbohydrates.
"I have to really commit to it. I can't really have in between room," Ciara said.
Gunnar Peterson also emphasized how a regular workout program is crucial to keep the pounds from coming back.
"It's about keeping her moving. There are a lot of intervals in there," the personal trainer explained.
"You want a good balance of cardio, while still maintaining your muscle," he added.
While her post-pregnancy fitness program is no easy feat, Ciara's break up, adorable son, and promising musical career appear to inspire her to stay in shape.
"Something about working out makes me feel like I can conquer anything and makes me ready to face the world," Ciara admitted.
