Nicole Kidman debuted her short hair during the premiere of her new film "Queen of the Desert" at the 2015 Berlinale International Film Festival at the Grand Hyatt on Friday in Germany. Meanwhile, Keith Urban's wife claimed that the film pushed her outside of her comfort zone.
In a report from Just Jared, Nicole Kidman was joined by co-stars James Franco and Damian Lewis, who plays romantic leads to all-around adventurer, Gertrude Bell.
"Nicole Kidman shows off her short haircut while donning a white dress at the premiere for her upcoming film," said the website. "Nicole is wearing a Valentino Haute Couture dress, shoes, and bag with Fred Leighton jewels at the premiere."
Earlier that day, the three actors along with director Werner Herzog attended the presser for "Queen of the Desert." Nicole Kidman wore a Louis Vuitton dress, bag and shoes which she paired with an Omega watch and a pair of Fred Leighton earrings. She also allowed her short hair to flow freely toward her shoulders.
Meanwhile, Keith Urban's wife claimed that "Queen of the Desert" allowed her to push her personal boundaries. At one point, even though it wasn't in the script, she suggested to the director to let her bathe out in the open under the stars, just like Gertrude Bell used to do even in the presence of the Bedouins.
"A woman of that era - even a woman now - who chooses to go out and live like that is an unusual and extraordinary person," Nicole Kidman told Sydney Morning Herald. "I was so glad that I got the chance to explore a portion of her life."
The 47-year-old actress claimed that she's at an age with she's looking for different experiences that will push her out of her comfort zone. "I don't want to just be sitting at home and driving to the studio to make a movie," she said.
There are some perks, too, for Nicole Kidman-and Keith Urban certainly agrees-as she was allowed to bring her kids to the set of "Queen of the Desert" where they slept under a tent and bond as a family, the article added.
