Is Naughty Dog building up fans' expectations only to disappoint them with a lackluster "Uncharted 4?"
Although the new game is still in the final stages of production, a lot have been speculating that its developers will eventually release a watered down version of the game it has promised.
Previous rumors claimed that Naughty Dog is aiming for 60fps, but Game Director Neil Druckmann has recently revealed that reaching that goal would be very difficult.
It's "really f**king hard," Druckmann said in an interview posted by Tweak Town.
"That's true for any game. It was really hard on The Last of Us Remastered, and that's a game we had finished and we knew exactly what the end result needs to look like. And here [with Uncharted 4] we're trying to push the boundaries of what this game can look like; and do realistic, real-time cutscenes; and trying to do 60fps is really hard".
Other "Uncharted 4" updates claim that the highly anticpated 4th and last installment boasts of outstanding and realistic visuals. And while some are currently not blown-away with the gameplay previews Naughty Dog has released, many are saying that the new game will be awesome on the next-gen console PS4.
As Business Insider noted, "The 'next-generation' gaming consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, have been on the market for exactly a year now. So even though they're technically "current-generation," people still have yet to see a game that truly uses the power of these new machines."
"As a gaming rig, the PlayStation 4 is vastly superior to the PlayStation 3, and much closer to a true PC: Its processor has 8 cores compared to one, and it has 8X more RAM than the PS3. And even though it's taken a year, we're now just beginning to see what the new console is capable of."
Uncharted 4 is reportedly slated to hit shelves by summer of 2015, and new reports are suggesting that it's definitely a go on July 2015.
