There are some people who criticize the all-female cast of "Ghostbusters 3," but what's probably important is getting the approval of the original cast.

During an interview with Kevin McCarthy of FOX 5, Sigourney Weaver finally speaks up about Paul Feig's reboot and the new cast.

"'I think they're going to be awesome. I think it's a great idea. The women in it are fabulous. I love them all." Weaver on new #Ghostbusters," the film critic wrote on Twitter.

Kevin McCarthy tagged Paul Feig on Twitter so that he will know what Weaver's reaction was about the remake. The "Bridesmaids" director retweeted that post to his followers, which is already more than a million. Sigourney Weaver played the female lead role Dana Barrett in the previous "Ghostbusters" movies.

Apart from the 65-year old actress, her co-stars Billy Murray and Dan Aykroyd also showed their approval on "Ghostbusters 3" and the all-female cast. The actor that played Peter Venkman expressed his delight on the reboot.

"It sounds as good an idea as any other! There are a lot of women that could scare off any kind of vapor!," Murray told Access Hollywood.

Dan Aykroyd, who starred as Ray Stantz, revealed how honored he was to pass over the movie to a new cast.

"The Aykroyd family is delighted by this inheritance of the Ghostbusters torch by these most magnificent women in comedy," the 62-year old actor told The Hollywood Reporter.

Ernie Hudson dissed the idea of having an all-female cast for "Ghostbusters 3" several months ago.

"If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it's all female, then why are you calling it Ghostbusters?" he told The Guardian.

"I love the idea of including women, I think that's great. But all-female I think would be a bad idea. I don't think the fans want to see that," the actor that played Winston Zeddemore explained further. After Paul Feig announced the cast on Twitter, Ernie Hudson changed his thoughts about getting funny women to star in the film.

The 69-year old actor posted a photo collage of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon on Twitter and captioned it:

"Four fiercely funny, foxy, females busting ghosts ... phenomenal!" Despite the support that the original cast members have been giving "Ghostbusters 3", there are still some fans who are not thrilled with the reboot.
