Will the force awaken this summer? Latest news and rumors on "Star Wars Episode 7" alleged that director JJ Abrams has been pushing for a summer release amid all the leaks surrounding the film.

In other development, Mark Hammill told fans to temper their expectations when watching "The Force Awakens" so they won't put the film on a no-win situation.

Movie Pilot had the latest news on "Star Wars Episode 7" as it reported that director JJ Abrams has been egging Disney to move the release date for "The Force Awakens" earlier than the scheduled December 2015.

According to the article, if the reports are true then it would be very risky for Disney to release "Star Wars Episode 7" in the summer because it would be up against "Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron," "Ant-Man" and "Jurassic World."

Out of all those films, however, "Star Wars" has the biggest chance to become the top grosser.

"JJ's biggest reason was reported to be that all of the 'Star Wars' plot leaks and pictures of characters had sent him on a little scare that more and more would be leaked therefore making the film predictable and not worth watching," it added.

In other "Star Wars Episode 7" news, Mark Hammill has a very good advice to fans anticipating the release of the Disney production: it's just a movie.

Talking to Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex, Mark Hammill-who plays Luke Skywalker-said: "I wish people would just relax. We're not trying to play games with people. We just want to maximize their experience at the movies where it should be seen and not have it leaked over the Internet."

He said all the news and rumors about "Star Wars Episode 7" have gotten out of control.

"Believe me, it will be here before you know it," he said. "Forget about it, that's my advice. Look forward to all the summer movies. I'm telling you, it's just a movie. These people that build it up in their minds like it's going to be the second coming of, I don't know what - they're bound to be disappointed."
