Casey Kasem's wife was ordered by the court to pay the pending legal costs following her feud with the late radio star's children from his first family.
According to a report from My News LA, Casey Kasem's wife, Jean Kasem, has no legal right to not pay the legal fees in relation to the conservatorship feud involving Kerri Kasem and her group.
The "American Top 40" host's adult children from his first wife, Linda Kasem, have been embroiled in a highly publicized legal and moral battle with Jean Kasem. The widow has been accused of elder abuse, which supposedly led to Casey Kasem's death last year.
According to latest Casey Kasem news, his wife needs to settle legal costs after establishing herself as the late broadcaster's conservator. The funds should withdrawn from either Casey Kasem's estate or trust fund.
Attorneys and petitioners are said to be demanding around $350,000 from Casey Kasem's controversial wife. The amount could even increase following Jean Kasem's alleged delaying tactics in hopes of avoiding the payment of fees.
"(Jean Kasem) had the opportunity to establish standing and hasn't done that," said the lawyers of Casey Kasem's first family.
Prior to being held liable for her husband's conservatorship, Casey Kasem's wife was also again slammed by her husband's first family.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Kerri Kasem and other supporters demanded that the Los Angeles Police Department needs to arrest Casey Kasem's wife, who they allege is responsible for the media star's death.
Kerri Kasem and her team detailed how Casey Kasem's wife of 30 years took away the radio star while he was sick with dementia and Parkinsons disease. The 60-year-old allegedly transported her seriously ill husband from a Santa Monica hospital on May 7 to Seattle, where he passed away on June 15 last year.
Casey Kasem's wife widow also allegedly brought her husband's corpse to Seattle, Montreal, and eventually in Norway. It was in Olso where Casey Kasem's dead body was reportedly hidden away from his family and supporters for months before he was buried last Christmas without the knowledge of his first family.
