Paramount Pictures recently announced that "Mission Impossible 5" will be re-mastered into IMAX format so that fans all over the world can enjoy watching Tom Cruise's new movie in IMAX theaters. The fifth installment of the popular film franchise is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and is co-produced by Skydance Productions.

Before this awesome news was released, MI fans found out that they will get an early summer treat because the movie which was originally scheduled for release on December 25 was moved to July 31st. The producers didn't give any reason as to why they decided to move the release date earlier. However, E! Online thinks that the final weekend of July is a good time for action movies and a perfect example of that is "Guardians of the Galaxy", which earned more than $700 million worldwide.

With "Mission: Impossible 5" getting an IMAX format, we can expect more sales for the movie because many fans always search for the best viewing experience. "IMAX is so important in giving the audience the best experience of the film we have made. I am very happy to have this partnership on the next 'Mission,'" said Tom Cruise as reported by Coming Soon.

This isn't the first time that the film series was released in IMAX. "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" director Brad Bird decided to release the movie in IMAX instead of 3D. "If you're going to use the word 'immersive', which everybody is throwing around right now, there's nothing more immersive than a really big ass screen,' said the filmmaker.

"And I think that in this rush to give the audience something special, we're losing the fact that just having a really big, sharp image is the best presentation that you can have," explained Bird. Greg Foster of IMAX Entertainment expressed their excitement in working with Tom Cruise and the producers again for "Mission Impossible 5". "This film was literally made for IMAX and summer moviegoing," said the CEO.
