Pokken Tournament Rumors: Five New Pokemons Join The Roster As Wii U Version Of The Pokemon Fighting Game Will Likely Happen This Year!

Good news pokemon and gaming fans as new game details and updates for Pokemon fighting game, Pokken Tournament have been revealed.

A new trailer for Pokken Tournament has been streamed online by Bandai Namco Games on Wednesday Feb. 18, as video features new gameplay details, and Pokemons.

As you clearly see in the video, new pokemons were added in the game which includes Pikachu, Suicune, Gardevour as well as support Pokemons such Eevee, Emolga, Lapras, Snivy, Frogadier, and Fennekin.

According to reports from AnimeNewsNetwork, the battles in Pokken Tournament involve two rounds, and during the battle a pokemon can activate a move called "resonance burst" when its gauge meter is full. It allows the pokemon to be powered-up for a limited time and can perform a special attacks.

AnimeNewsNetwork further adds that the game will include a tutorial, single-player mode, and online mode that connects players to other arcade systems across Japan. Players can also store their battle records and increased battle stats on a "Bana (Bandai Namco) Passport" and using this feature unlocks more support characters.

Certainly gaming fans will look forward to playing Pokken Tournament in the arcades across Japan, but if that wasn't enough their could be a WiiU version of the game this year.

According to Prima Games, fans are begging to have Pokken Tournament in the Wii U console, and Bandai Namco will likely listen to the fans to have the Wii U version of the game within 2015. The website further hints that the arcades are the perfect testing grounds for Pokken as Nintendo and Bandai Namco will draw new ideas in the game, and may consider applying it in the Wii version, if the game became a success in the arcades. Sounds fair right?

That's not all, five new pokemons have rumored to join Pokken Tournament as MiddleOfNowhereGaming claim that Heracross, Magmortar, Vigoroth, Hawlucha, and Dragonite are being considered in the roster.

Pokken Tournament will debut in Japanese arcades this summer 2015.
