The "Gundam" live action movie adaptation is allegedly in the works right now as reports suggest that the production team is now looking for filming locations in the Philippines.
GMA News has reported that a Japanese production team has been spotted in the Philippines and the report notes that they are linked with Legacy Effects and they are looking for filming locations in the country.
"a Japanese production team linked with Legacy Effects have (sic) been seen scouting for locations in the Philippines," wrote GMA news.
Meanwhile, Gundam Toyshop has reported that Yoshiyuki Tomino is still allegedly very attached to the "Gundam" live action movie adaptation project.
"Yoshiyuki Tomino claimed he wasn't giving up on a Gundam live action movie and they said that Tomino is secretly working on the movie," wrote Gundam Toyshop.
However, it should be noted that a "Gundam" live action movie was already made and it wasn't well received by fans.
"G-Savior" was the first live action "Gundam" movie and it was met with negative reviews.
"Have two hours of your life to waste? Come on in! G Saviour is the worst of the worst, possibly the most tainted and cliche Gundam series to date," wrote Geshar from IMDB.
While Legionair wrote, "the acting was terrible with almost every scene seemingly forced out of the crew. Just about every action movie cliche was included, regardless of it's logic. The battlescenes make up the last twenty or so minutes of the movie. Skip everything that comes before it. And skip the final five minutes of the movie, the convient plot tie ups will only melt your brain."
