Mindy's pregnancy isn't going really well... not that bad, though but she's starting to feel the downside of having a baby. And how does Danny cope up with this? Or rather, how do THEY cope with this?
In "The Mindy Project" Season 3, Episode 18, Danny and Mindy settled things like a mature couple after a few bumps along the way.
Mindy's morning sickness was so bad that Morgan gifted her with a bucket as a gift and for Mindy to barf on. On the other hand, Danny wanted Mindy to change her lifestyle and gave her a book called "Panic Womb," hence the episode's title.
Of course, Mindy wasn't up for changing her lifestyle. She still wants to continue with her life and eat whatever she wants.
Peter, Mindy's doctor, was still in Texas and Danny and Mindy had a Skype call with him regarding her pregnancy. He told the couple that with Mindy's age and weight, she has a higher risk of developing geriatric obese pregnancy.
Mindy didn't appreciate it that she tried to beat the hell out of him via Skype but there's nothing more that she could do because Peter put Danny in charge of her diet from now on. Mindy tried to reason things out by bringing up Danny's smoking habit and Danny said that he will quit, too.
Meanwhile, at the office they were looking for a replacement doctor that will take Mindy's place since she's concentrating more on her fertility clinic. Dr. Suzanne Philips, played by Vanessa Williams, was interviewed for the job but the interview didn't go well.
Just when Mindy was about to interview another doctor she started throwing up and the doctor who she was supposed to interview sat her down and said that her morning sickness is more like stressed-induced morning sickness and told Danny that the way he's handling Mindy's pregnancy is getting stressful.
The two liked the doctor, Adrian Bergdahl, and they hired them right then and there. However, they didn't consult Jeremy about this, which will expectedly cause some tension between this new doctor and Jeremy and Morgan.
In the end, Danny and Mindy were able to settle their issues acknowledging that they are just both scared and need each other to survive the pregnancy.
"The Mindy Project" airs Tuesdays on FOX.
