It looks like new plot details for the third Wolverine spin-off, "Wolverine 3" have been leaked online as Hugh Jackman talks about a possible cameo appearances from two Marvel movies.

According to JBG News, "Wolverine 3" director James Mangold shared new details regarding the plot of the movie. It was reported last year by Screenrant that "Wolverine 3" will have a plot similar to the storyline of "Old Man Logan" in the Marvel comics.

"Well, of course we're looking at Old Man Logan, because that may be the only option left at this point! [laughs] We are looking at a lot of different storylines. No one has jumped out. You can tell from my answer that we're still working it out. I'm working with Jim Mangold, which is exciting," Mangold said. "Jim came on board The Wolverine after Darren [Aronofsky] left, so he inherited it. And of all the things that Jim can do, one of the great things he does is develop scripts. I'm excited to see what we can come up with, but I haven't signed on signed on. I'm genuinely at that point where unless it's better than the last one I'm not going to do it."

However, JBG News claimed that the "Wolverine 3" will be a combination of "Old Man Logan," and the controversial "The Death of Wolverine" comic book storyline. An interesting take on the movie plot considering that the first two movies were told about Logan's origins, and supposed mortality, and now every Marvel comic book fan will soon witness how he will meet his demise.

Mangold also talked about the possible future of the "Wolverine" movie franchise in the Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy blog site.

“I would just say it is always going to be about his relationships to other characters. We are very much trying to work with existing text. There are other great Wolverine stories out there but suffice it to say there are great texts about his connections to others, villains, characters from the lore and from the comics that we can bring out and have another great and meaningful adventure,” Mangold wrote in the blog site.

Screenrant reports that "Chappie" star Hugh Jackman is open to the idea of "Wolverine" making a cameo appearance in "Deadpool" the movie starring Ryan Reynolds, during an interview with MTV.

“They are definitely enemies in the comics and they always spark off well together so I’d be open to that idea,”Jackman said to MTV.

Jackman felt that Deadpool was not utilized properly in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and he agreed with the fans of the "Merc with the Mouth" that Twentieth Century Fox should give the character a proper treatment in the spin off.

"We sort of took a pretty strong choice on Deadpool, where we kind of stitched him up. And I love the character of Deadpool and I think that the sort of badass, fast-talking, funny, annoying Deadpool vs Wolverine would still be cool. We've sort of done it, but I think we could have done that much better," Jackman said during an interview with IGN last year.

Jackman also expressed his interest in letting Wolverine join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, now that Marvel Studios has acquired Spider-Man.

“I like to think there’s that possibility for all of it, and I would even like to think more that it doesn’t happen out of necessity, y’know, when someone’s run it into the ground or something. I optimistically love the idea of “What the hell, Batman versus Iron Man versus Wolverine!” Let’s just chuck ‘em in," Jackman said.

"We’ll see what happens, but maybe as these things go on more and more they’ll want to and need to do all that stuff. I’m optimistic, I’d think it’d be great, but hey, it’s not my billions of dollars behind this promise. [laughs] It’s easy for us to speculate, “Why did they do that?!”

"Wolverine 3" will be shown in theaters on March 3, 2017.
