Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was reportedly found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31.
As Bobbi Kristina’s family continued to pray for her on her 22nd birthday on March 4, the aspiring singer’s boyfriend Nick Gordon reportedly made an appearance on Dr. Phil for a surprise intervention, according to NY Daily News.
“As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance,” Gordon’s mom Michelle stated in an excerpt of the episode, which is set to air on March 11.
The intervention reportedly comes after Gordon posted an alarming Twitter message.
“I’m so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to strong,” Nick Gordon tweeted on Tuesday.
Bobbi Kristina Brown has reportedly remained unresponsive in an Atlanta hospital for five weeks. Nick Gordon has reportedly been unable to see his girlfriend after reportedly arguing with Bobbi Kristina’s relatives.
Bobbi Kristina has reportedly been suffering “severe pain, mental anguish and panic attacks,” a press release for the Dr. Phil show stated. 25-year-old Nick Gordon is reportedly now battling drug and alcohol addiction, according to the press release.
“Today is Bobbi Kristina’s 22nd birthday,” Pat Houston wrote on Whitney Houston’s website, according to Us Magazine.
She continued, “And we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life.”
A lawyer for Bobbi Kristina’s dad Bobby Brown reportedly stated that Gordon would be allowed to visit his girlfriend if he gives an honest account of the events leading up to Bobbi Kristina’s discovery.
“Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe,” Bobby Brown’s lawyer Christopher Brown said in a statement.
He continued, “At least not desperate enough to inform Bobby Brown, in writing, what happened to Bobbi Kristina.”
